* Spy could gain an anti-personnel item that can be applied from the font or back, in lieu of the balisong. * Nailgun for scout could work as a replacement for the scattergun - give it more kick, but a smaller cone of damage * Sniper rifle that charges faster, but has a slower reload * Bat that does more damage, but has a slower swing * Flamethrower that does more initial damage, but less (if any) burn over time Since the medic's new kit involved tradeoffs and an item that drastically changes some tactics (KritzKrieg), maybe we'll see things like this: I think dispenser/teleporter upgrades are def in the engineer's future.
